About

junejuly is dedicated to all things stylish that inspires a better life; run and written by Austin based designer, Christina Clark.

Christina started her design studies as an exchange student in Luton, England (about 30 minutes north of London). After a year abroad, she then moved forward in getting her bachelor degree in interior design from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. While attending Pratt she gained experience by working with Rico Furniture & Lighting, NY3 Design Group and Robert A.M. Stern & Associates. Upon graduating in 2007 she joined the design team to design and launch two new John Varvatos clothing stores - one in San Francisco, CA and the other was 315 Bowery, NY; what used to be, the iconic music venue, CBGB’s.

Her primary focus over the last three years has been interior and furniture design, working on the design team for DucDuc, a modern furniture company based in SoHo and had a strong hand of the launch of The New Traditionalists, a high end adult furniture and design company that blurs the lines between a modern sensibility and elegant classic silhouettes. Over the past few years Christina has been able to broaden her skills to include graphic design marketing, brand ID, and web design art direction.

Christina recently made to move from New York City to Austin, where she has been freelancing and learning her new surroundings. Her favorite spots so far? Sculpture Falls, Hotel San Jose, Torchy's Taco South Austin trailer park, and Uncommon Objects antiques!
